Message from Jonathan Gibralter, FSU President

I want to personally thank all the FSU alumni who joined GotFrostburg
and me at the Saphire Cafe on April 25th. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting
you all and was so pleased with the turnout. I have a feeling this
will be the start of a wonderful relationship—didn’t
Humphrey Bogart say that? (Name the movie).
I am completely committed to building this bridge to FSU alumni
and inviting you all back to your alma mater. First and foremost,
I want you all to be able to use FSU to be able to find employees
for your businesses from our graduates. Secondly, I want you to
be able to build your own business base by networking. Finally,
I want you to have fun.
And, as a consequence, I want you to remember what I said. Almost
everyone gives money to good causes. The reason most often stated
for not giving to a cause is not being asked. Today, I am not asking.
I only ask that you remember that many young students need scholarship
support to go to school. Your tax deductible gifts, no matter what
value, can have a direct impact on a students life. Thank you for
considering their needs.
I look forward to seeing you again soon and please come back to
FSU and bring others with you.
